Material Handler
Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description

We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to perform manual and clerical duties associated with material control, shipping, and receiving. You will be responsible for packaging finished products in various containers for shipment or storage, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all related paperwork, and maintaining detailed records of materials received, disbursed, and on-hand. This role requires the ability to lift materials weighing up to 50lbs without assistance.

ResponsibilitiesPack finished and wrapped products in cardboard, wooden boxes, cartons, or other containers for shipment or storage.Arrange articles in containers using appropriate packing materials to prevent breakage or damage.Check all shipping, receiving, and material control paperwork for accuracy and completeness.Receive incoming materials into the stockroom and maintain computerized records by verifying and posting information.Prepare and process various company and departmental forms using standard office equipment and personal computer.Issue materials to the shop floor promptly and courteously.Provide assistance and support to all department team members with material issues, shipping, receiving, and stockroom requirements.Identify carriers, calculate freight charges, and schedule carrier pick-ups.Administer materials and commodities from receipt of goods to factory issuance, including inventory control, kitting, and shipping.Manage production and non-production material stores, ensuring packaging, storage, count, and traceability by serial/part number.Store and track customer-furnished equipment and materials.Count and sort incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices.Store articles in bins, on the floor, or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, size, or type.Fill orders or issue supplies from stock and maintain inventory records.Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location considering environmental and space factors.Perform other duties as assigned while following company policies and procedures.Essential SkillsKnowledge of shipping, receiving, packing, and stockroom processes and procedures.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to organize and expedite materials effectively.Ability to operate a forklift.Proficiency in computer operations, with knowledge of Excel and Office.Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with soldering, assembly, and electronic assembly.Familiarity with ERP systems and RF scanners.Strong skills in inventory management and material handling.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
