Job Title: Material HandlerJob Description

The material handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility, including loading and unloading trucks, and moving products using walkie riders and pallet jacks.

ResponsibilitiesUnload and load trucks, ensuring safe transport of materials.Deliver materials to the production floor efficiently.Analyze and estimate workload based on order sheets.Perform daily, operational, routine, and periodic checks on delivered raw materials.Record and inspect equipment, including cleaning and adding fluids as needed.Perform quality checks using microscopes, micrometer, measuring devices, digital voltmeter (optional), calipers, ruler, and other related devices.Use mobile equipment in daily operations, including forklifts and walkies.Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring safety compliance.Prepare documentation as required.Maintain a clean and safe work area following the 6S standard.Understand department workflow and processes with attention to detail.Communicate effectively with co-workers verbally and in writing.Adhere to company rules and policies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues timely.Support the proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area.Work all scheduled shift hours.Train others at the same or lower level within the functional area.Essential SkillsMaterial handlingInventory managementPackingGeneral laborProduction processesRF scanner useOrder pickingPackagingPallet jack operationUnloadingSit down forklift operationReach truck operationForklift operatingShipping and receivingAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform quality checks with various measuring devices.Strong troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication skills.Detail-oriented with an understanding of department workflows.Why Work Here?

Work involves operating various mobile equipment and tools in a production facility. Adherence to safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace following the 6S standard is essential. The position requires flexibility to work all scheduled shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of De Soto, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr.
