Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler with experience in operating a sitdown forklift. The role involves efficiently managing materials and ensuring quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Build skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.Operate crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun, and banding equipment as needed.Follow packing and preservation policies and procedures.Perform quality inspections on orders to maintain 100% quality standards.Mark all shipments in accordance with procedures and requirements.Properly stencil shipping information as required.Provide maintenance and keep records of maintenance on all assigned equipment.Maintain a clean work area.Follow all company safety and quality policies and procedures.Participate in TQM and SPC meetings.

Essential Skills

Experience operating a forklift.Material handling proficiency.Ability to pick and measure materials accurately using a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Work Environment

The position operates during the 3rd shift from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 pm to 5:30 am, with opportunities for overtime. The facility is a 600 sq. ft. non-climate-controlled environment that can be loud, with panel and table saws, and forklifts in operation. The dress code requires jeans or work pants, steel toe boots or shoes, and a plain t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
