Material Handler
Now Hiring: Material Handler / Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)

Location: Waterloo, IA

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $20/hr

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support our warehouse and production operations. This role involves operating forklifts, managing inventory, and ensuring materials are moved efficiently and accurately throughout the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to transport materials.Load and unload trucks, trailers, and production lines.Move pallets, totes, and other materials to designated areas.Use RF scanners to track inventory and complete transactions.Assist with inventory counts and cycle audits.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents.Required Skills & QualificationsValid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.Minimum 6 months of forklift or material handling experience.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.Familiarity with RF scanners and basic inventory systems.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.Team-oriented with good communication skills.Why Work Here?Family-oriented company culture.Weekly attendance bonuses and performance incentives.Opportunities for advancement and cross-training.Regular company events, food trucks, and employee appreciation days.Eligible for benefits and 401K match upon direct hire.Work EnvironmentShift: 1st shift (e.g., 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), Monday through Friday.Fast-paced warehouse or production setting.Requires use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.PPE required: steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and reflective vests.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
