Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated material handler to join our team and support our shipping and receiving area. This role involves organizing products, utilizing computers and shipping systems, and assisting machine operators during slower periods. You will perform all necessary functions related to shipping pull lists and operate sit-down forklifts. There is also potential for cross-training into other departments.

Pay: $17-22

Responsibilities

Organize and manage product inventory.Utilize computers and shipping systems efficiently.Assist machine operators as needed.Perform necessary functions related to shipping pull lists.Operate sit-down forklifts safely and effectively.

Essential Skills

1-3 years of material handling experience.1+ years of experience operating fork trucks.1+ years of inventory experience.Comfortable lifting/moving 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with picking, packing, and using RF scanners.Familiarity with ERP systems.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, air-conditioned shop that is part of a large contract job shop with about 140 employees on the manufacturing floor and 250 employees in total, within a 300,000 sq. foot facility. This union shop offers a 3-month contract-to-union opportunity and has been family-owned since 1947. Enjoy a first shift from 7 am to 3 pm, with initial training required on the same shift. The environment is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on rapid prototyping, metal fabrication, and more.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
