Our client, an industry leader in material handling and processing, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the operations support team supporting production and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Location: Independence, OR**
**Pay Range: $17.40**
**Shift:** First
**What's the Job?**
+ Ensure the flow of organic materials through shakers by monitoring and poking to prevent bridging
+ Inform heavy equipment operators when shakers need refilling
+ Perform housekeeping duties such as scraping, sweeping, shoveling, and stacking bags to maintain a clean work environment
+ Assist with small bag line operations and restacking pallets as needed
+ Report equipment issues to maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Entry-level experience preferred
+ Ability to follow safety practices diligently
+ Capability to work in dusty, hot, cold, or rainy environments
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
