Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Material handlers work closely with mill operators and laser operators to ensure smooth operations. After tubes are processed, the material handler uses either an overhead crane or a combi-lift, for which training will be provided, to move them to the shipping area for staging.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with mill and laser operators.Utilize overhead cranes and combi-lifts to handle materials.Transport finished tubes to the shipping area for staging.

Essential Skills

Material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.Overhead crane operation experience.At least 2 years of counterbalance forklift experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift training/license.Experience with combi-lift operations is a plus.Familiarity with shipping processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is in a tier 2 automotive facility that can be noisy, particularly near saws, and may have a mild lubricant smell. Employees work with older, somewhat dirty machinery with coolant present. Shifts are either from 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
