**Job Title: Material Handler**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our production team. You will be responsible for assembling and routing jobs for the production floor, loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site, and fulfilling production material needs.
Responsibilities
+ Operate picker, turret, and forklift adhering to all safety protocols.
+ Identify and label products accurately.
+ Explain 5S principles and apply them in daily responsibilities.
+ Consistently follow safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
+ Adhere to scheduled break and lunch times, ensuring timely clock-in and clock-out.
+ Verify jobs accurately and pull correct materials without errors.
+ Understand the utilization of default bins in SAP and FIFO principles.
+ Complete bin-to-bin and put-away transactions using handheld devices.
+ Take guidance from the Warehouse Foreman or higher authority.
+ Communicate professionally with warehouse and production teams.
+ Use SAP to look up available inventory and perform transactions.
+ Load and unload materials safely from shelves or pallets.
+ Locate ISO-controlled forms and work instructions on a computer.
+ Use handheld devices to pull orders and assist in receiving by verifying counts.
+ Understand and describe the Quality Policy.
+ Locate item drawings in SAP and conduct basic research on missing parts.
+ Teach others and operate the VLM tower to pull orders.
+ Research open transfer orders and requirements.
+ Generate pick documents and create verification sheets in CO27.
+ Understand non-conformances and system transactions.
+ Offer input in providing solutions to problems and run shortages per order.
+ Complete SAP transactions using laptop or desktop computers.
+ Print, pull, and deliver ship-loose items to QA.
+ Communicate effectively using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
+ Export data from SAP to Excel and interact with team members.
+ Access Business objects to print production schedules and reverse issued material in SAP.
+ Run bin verifications and differentiate between bin verifications and cycle counts.
+ Understand and complete ECNs.
+ De-escalate situations and update default bins in SAP.
+ Act as a role model through professional behavior, focusing on solutions.
Essential Skills
+ High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is a plus.
+ One year of work experience in Material Handling.
+ Knowledge of hand tools.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ General knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
+ Experience with SAP and handheld devices.
+ Ability to communicate effectively using Microsoft Teams.

Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, and distribution environment. The shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break, Monday through Friday, with potential work on Saturdays as needed. Steel-toe boots are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
