Material Handler
Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The material handler will be responsible for picking and packing parts and pieces in a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

Pick and pack parts and pieces accurately.Utilize RF scanners and pallet jacks for inventory management.Operate forklifts and perform material handling tasks.Maintain and update warehouse inventory records.Ensure all work areas are clean and organized.

Essential Skills

Experience in picking and packing operations.Proficiency with RF scanners and pallet jacks.Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.Strong inventory management skills.At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with order picking and general labor tasks.Knowledge of warehouse inventory procedures.

Work Environment

The position is based in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, which can be dusty and very hot during the summer. The work area has some smells from paint fumes. The paint department has a team of 260 employees. The dress code includes jeans and a T-shirt, with PPE supplied, including a hard hat, eye protection, a vest, and ear plugs. The work hours are Monday to Saturday, from 6 am to 4:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
