**Job Title: Material Handler** **Shift:** **1st shift Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm Potential to Start at 6:00am - $18.50 an hour** **2nd shift Hours: 10:30a - 7:00p Potential to Start at 8:30am - $20.35 an hour** Job Description The Material Handler will be responsible for providing shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facilities. The candidate must be comfortable working at heights as they will be trained to operate a cherry picker forklift. Responsibilities + Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment following established procedures and customer requirements. + Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the quality, type, and amount received, ensuring appropriate documentation is present. + Operate distribution equipment as required and work in a warehouse environment under various temperature conditions. + Complete training requirements and adhere to standards pertaining to site distribution, including control of documents and quality policy. Essential Skills + Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights. + Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software. + Strong communication and customer service skills. + Ability to follow policies, procedures, and meet schedules independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required. + 0-2 years of related experience. + Experience in logistics within a life science company is preferred. Work Environment The position operates in a warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 59-86 degrees F in room temperature areas, 36-46 degrees F in cold rooms, and -4 to 23 degrees F in freezer rooms. The role involves repetitive tasks, requiring walking, standing, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs continuously, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. The environment may be noisy, and the candidate must be adaptable to varying schedules, hours, and potential overtime. Occasional local travel may be required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to HIre position based out of Greencastle, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr.
