Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description

The material handler is responsible for efficiently managing order sheets, selecting the most suitable forklift for tasks, locating products within the warehouse, picking and packing items, and completing necessary paperwork. The role involves physical labor, including lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly to build pallets.

ResponsibilitiesReview order sheets and determine the most efficient forklift for each task.Locate products in the warehouse and manage inventory.Pick and pack products accurately.Fill out necessary paperwork for inventory and shipping.Perform physical labor, including lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly.Build pallets for shipping and storage.Essential SkillsForklift operation proficiency.Order picking skills.Capability to stand, reach, and operate cherry and reach trucks.Experience in pallet building.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Computer literacy.High School Diploma or GED.Work Environment

The work environment is clean, well-lit, and organized, suitable for efficient operations. The large warehouse features ample space to operate forklifts and includes 10-12 docks for product delivery and pickup. The warehouse team is diverse, cooperative, and maintains high standards while enjoying their work.

This is a Contract position based out of Addison, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
