**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a **detail-oriented Material Handler** who will play an integral role in our shipping and material handling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving customer orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining inventory levels. You will also operate forklifts, perform general labor tasks, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. **Responsibilities** + Operate a forklift for 30% - 40% of the day and assist in shipping operations. + Receive customer orders and ensure accurate product shipment. + Monitor inventory levels and notify leads when supplies are low. + Utilize Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, computers, and scan guns for inventory management. + Create shipping labels and ensure the correct products are shipped. + Pull products from the warehouse using the organizing system. + Load and unload pallets and perform general labor tasks. + Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and use of scan guns. + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. + Ability to stand for 8+ hours. + Experience in warehouse, packing, manufacturing, shipping, and production environments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with inventory management and RF scanners. + Willingness to learn forklift operations. **Why Work Here?** Join our dynamic team and enjoy a great work environment with opportunities for quick growth. Depending on the department, protective attire such as hair and beard nets, white coats, and appropriate footwear may be required. The packaging department allows for casual attire such as close-toed shoes, shorts or jeans, and a t-shirt. The work schedule is 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the first day starting at 7:45 AM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
