Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** The role of Material Handler involves receiving and tracking items from receipt to production and assembly. You will document the movement of inventory items through the production process, tag and label items for inventory accuracy, and prepare orders for shipment. This position requires proficiency in operating inventory management tools and entering data into inventory and logistics software programs. **Responsibilities** + Receive and track items from receipt to production/assembly. + Document the movement of inventory items through the production process. + Tag and label items to ensure inventory accuracy. + Pick and issue items required for production/assembly. + Prepare orders for shipment by boxing, wrapping, and packing merchandise according to procedures and standards. + Record and manage impaired or damaged merchandise items. + Operate inventory management tools such as forklifts and hand trucks. + Enter data into inventory and logistics software programs. + Assist production workers with materials and parts, ensuring orders have accurate parts. + Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested. **Essential Skills** + Valid driver's license + 1+ years of forklift experience (sit down) + Computer skills + 2 years of experience in a warehouse or stock room + High school diploma or GED + RF scan gun experience + Blueprint reading skills + Experience with Epicor system **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Forklift operation + Inventory management + Material handling + Picking and general labor + Cycle counts + Production and packaging + Purchase order management **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, dental insurance, employee assistance program, flexible spending account, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. The team consists of 110 employees, with the second shift comprising around 5 people, fostering a small team dynamic.
