Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** The Material Handler role involves alternating between two primary tasks: working in the shipping department and handling materials. You will engage in shipping activities for about half of your day, including labeling and preparing orders for shipment. The other half involves operating forklifts to manage materials and stage finished products. **Responsibilities** + Print labels and prepare pallets for shipment in the shipping department. + Handle large chemical drums and ensure they are loaded onto trailers. + Use computers to print labels and track shipping information. + Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to pick materials, supply lines, and stage finished products. **Essential Skills** + 1-2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience. + 1 year of sit-down forklift experience. + Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with RF scan guns. + Experience with stand-up forklifts. + Experience with reach trucks. **Why Work Here?** We are a family-owned company that values our employees and provides a great work environment. The role involves transporting sealed and empty chemical drums but no direct chemical handling. You will work on shipping docks, which are partially outside, and in a relatively quiet warehouse. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 3pm to 12am, with potential overtime of 1-2 hours after shift end. Pay starts at $18/hr. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
