**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic team in a hospital setting where you will play a critical role in ensuring medical supplies are efficiently distributed to doctors, nurses, and technicians. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, pulling and stocking supplies, and delivering essential items throughout the hospital.
**Responsibilities**
+ Pull orders in the basement of the hospital, including gloves, needles, surgical supplies, masks, gowns, and other PPE.
+ Ensure products are fully stocked in the warehouse and replenish items as needed.
+ Deliver supplies to various hospital departments such as the ER and surgical offices.
+ Organize materials on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
+ Assist in assembling parts when required.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with inventory management and order picking.
+ Proficient in using RF scanners.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Comfortable working in a team environment with 20+ employees.
+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. throughout the shift.
+ Capable of standing for the entire 8+ hour shift.
+ Proficient in reading and writing in English.
+ Competent in using computers to input data through EPIC.

**Work Environment**
Work within a hospital environment, primarily in the basement and on the dock where trucks unload supplies. Interact with healthcare professionals and occasionally with patients. Employees must wear appropriate PPE and scrubs as required. The initial training shift is from 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) for 2-3 weeks, after which the schedule shifts to Tue-Sat with the same start time. Flexibility is essential, as you must be willing to stay until all tasks are completed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
