**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Windsor. As a crucial member of our shipping and packaging department, you will be responsible for handling materials efficiently and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. **Responsibilities** + Load and unload customer orders into a company vehicle and deliver products to customers. + Package products into boxes. + Maintain materials in good order and condition during handling, shipping, receiving, and storage. + Follow designated schedules and deadlines for delivery, shipping, and receiving. + Ensure that customer orders are shipped on time, to the right location, and with the correct parts. + Handle shipping and receiving activities, including UPS, auto freight, 'will call,' store-to-store transfers, and LTL shipments. + Ensure the smooth functioning of the warehouse, including shipping and receiving functions, general material handling duties, cycle counting, and inventory records accuracy. + Control inventory and examine shipping and receiving discrepancies and damages on customer orders and product deliveries. + Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all warehouse machinery and equipment. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations. + Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts (stand up and sit down). + Proficiency in ERP systems. + Efficiency in data entry and reviewing customer orders. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Flexibility to cross-train and assist in other departments. **Why Work Here?** Our company values its employees and promotes from within. The first shift runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
