**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for reconditioning heat exchange plates, including removing old rubber gaskets, cleaning the plates, and testing them for defects. You will also glue new gaskets onto the plates, transfer them into an oven, and prepare them for shipment. **Responsibilities** + Recondition heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets. + Clean plates using power washing techniques. + Test plates for cracks or holes using specialized materials and equipment. + Wash and dry plates after testing. + Glue new gaskets onto plates and transfer them into an oven for adherence. + Cool plates and prepare them for shipment. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of manufacturing or production experience. + Attention to detail. + Ability to work in a team. + Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. + Self-motivation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with general labor, packing, and production. + Skill in material handling and manufacturing. + Proficiency with hand tools, assembly, and packaging. + Forklift experience. + Cleaning expertise. **Why Work Here?** Join a small team environment with excellent advancement opportunities. This is a first shift opportunity, working Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, with occasional Saturday shifts. Dress code requires steel-toed boots and jeans, with safety glasses and gloves provided. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
