**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic manufacturing company that specializes in supporting Aerospace Defense and Commercial sectors with plastic and metal parts. We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
+ Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transport loads to designated areas.
+ Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
+ Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
+ Perform routine maintenance, including recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
+ Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
+ Maintain housekeeping in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areas.
+ Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
+ Mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
+ Common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
+ Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheels to operate equipment.
+ Problem-solving skills involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

**Work Environment**
Work in a machine shop setting that is loud and industrial, with a mild smell due to the manufacturing of plastic and metal parts. The shift is from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
