Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated material handlers to join our team. Positions are available on both the 2nd and 3rd shifts, where you will begin in either the sheet metal bay or the bar bay, depending on current operational needs. Embrace a dynamic role where you will engage in order selection, material maneuvering, loading trucks, banding various metals, and using equipment like forklifts and overhead cranes.

ResponsibilitiesPerform order selection using high reach/side loader forklifts and sit down forklifts.Sort and band materials once picked, utilizing overhead cranes as necessary.Execute loading of trucks and maneuvering of materials.Lift up to 55lbs independently, with team lifts or forklifts for heavier loads.Engage in classroom and hands-on training for certifications in safety, core values, and equipment operation.Essential SkillsProficiency in operating sit down forklifts, stand up/side loader forklifts, and overhead cranes.Accountability and adherence to safety protocols.Ability to assist and collaborate with team members.

Work Environment

Join us in a spacious facility that has recently expanded from 60,000 square feet to 197,000 square feet, boasting modern machinery and lighting. Work in an environment that prioritizes innovation, safety, and team collaboration. The 2nd shift operates from 3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday, while the 3rd shift runs from 11pm to 7:30am Sunday through Thursday. Be prepared for overtime as required by shift demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hellam, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
