We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler who will provide accurate inventory information for company-controlled material stock. The successful candidate will monitor, organize, and maintain inventory of company products across multiple branch locations, working collaboratively with a diverse team.
ResponsibilitiesOperate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.Enter data for inventory into a computer and record data manually using a clipboard.Load and unload metal materials (raw materials) both manually and with a forklift.Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or directly from the mill.Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket.Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff.Perform verification of scrap.Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean-up.Essential SkillsExperience operating a sit-down forklift.Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and order pickers.Proficiency in inventory control and computer data entry.Experience with general labor tasks including picking and packing.Why Work Here

Work in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. Join a fast-paced environment with over 60 employees on the floor. The first shift operates from 4 am-2:30 pm Monday-Thursday, with alternative shift options Monday-Friday. The second shift runs from 2:30 pm-1 am Monday-Thursday.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.20 - $21.20/hr.
