The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in materials engineering, preferably within airport, airfield, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
**What You'll Be Doing;**
Review and process material submittals in accordance with project specifications and approved standards.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for material approvals.
Coordinate field and laboratory testing for soils, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and other civil materials.
Review test results and verify compliance with approved mix designs and specifications.
Identify non-conforming materials and support corrective and preventive actions.
Review and approve concrete and asphalt mix designs in coordination with QA/QC teams.
Monitor batching plant operations to ensure consistency and compliance with approved designs.
Lead the technical review of Prequalification Documentation (PQD) for all potential suppliers, manufacturers, fabricators, Independent Testing Agencies (ITAs), and Ready Mix/Asphalt plants to ensure full adherence to project quality benchmarks.
Provide expert technical input during the Design Review Process to ensure material selections are feasible, durable, and compliant with long-term performance requirements (e.g., 100-year design life for structures).
Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with material defects, supplier non-compliance, and design-material mismatches through continuous, predictive Quality Assurance (QA) oversight.
Support trial mixes, mock-ups, and pre-production testing.
Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams regarding material usage and availability.
Maintain material tracking logs, test registers, and approval records.
Prepare technical reports, material compliance summaries, and daily/weekly updates.
Ensure material handling, storage, and testing activities comply with HSE and environmental requirements.
Support sustainable material practices and waste reduction where applicable.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring;**
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in materials engineering or materials quality control.
Experience in airport, airfield, runway, or highway projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction materials including soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete.
Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and aviation-related material standards.
Experience with laboratory and field testing procedures.
Ability to analyze test data and identify trends or compliance issues.
Proficient in MS Office and technical reporting.
Experience working with airfield pavement materials and high-performance concrete.
Knowledge of asphalt and concrete plant operations.
Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and NCR processes.
