San Antonio, TX | $27.22/hr | Full-Time Consultant (6 Months) | Rotating Shifts
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Material Coordinator to support critical programs in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring tools, parts, and materials are properly controlled, available, and compliant—directly supporting production schedules and program success.
About the RoleAs a Material Coordinator, you will manage tool crib and material storage operations while coordinating with suppliers and internal customers to ensure timely availability of tooling and hardware. Your work will help maintain production flow, uphold quality standards, and support safety and compliance in a high-demand aerospace environment.
What You’ll Do Day to DayMaintain and operate the program tool crib area, ensuring tooling is controlled per site procedures.
Process, store, order, deliver, track, and maintain materials and supplies in accordance with company and customer requirements.
Perform shipping, receiving, inspection, and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.
Read and interpret work orders, requisitions, specifications, and shipping/receiving documentation.
Use computer systems to input, retrieve, and track inventory and material transactions.
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, hoists, side loaders, and tow motors.
Consolidate parts into kits (tooling kits, hazardous material kits, pan stock kits, etc.).
Prepare parts for storage and shipment, including fabrication of special containers when required.
Conduct inventories and report discrepancies, damage, or material deterioration.
Support production schedules by ensuring material availability and resolving material-related issues.
Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area following FOD, tool control, and housekeeping standards.
Support rotating shifts, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shift coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications2–3 years of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or tool crib operations.
3+ years of experience working with computer-based inventory or warehouse management systems.
1+ year of experience managing aspects of Government property.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience operating warehouse and material handling equipment.
Ability to work rotating shifts across all schedules.
Ability to obtain required customer access approval and pass background screening.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work in industrial environments.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Aerospace or defense industry experience.
Experience supporting production scheduling or material planning.
Familiarity with hazardous material handling and storage.
Experience working in regulated, safety-sensitive environments.

Pay Details: $27.22 per hour
