Job Overview

The incumbent is responsible for the daily operations of material requisitioning, expediting, warehouse receiving, storage, project kitting, stock requirements and inventory control at the Main Office warehouse facility and service vehicles. The duties are performed in accordance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOP), applicable local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Supervise all warehousing and receiving functions across all task locations.Oversee the inventory levels. Lead the team of warehouse personnel to receive and record new stock as its delivered and shipped out. Record daily deliveries, evaluating new shipments, and analyzing different suppliers.Provides recommendations on stock requirements based on usage and procurement history. Establish recommended stock reorder points and maximum on hand quantity of stock inventory items.Ensure accurate routing of materials to prescribed work locations.Execute purchase requests as dictated by the work management system or as coordinated with the Deputy Project Manager (DPM).Actively monitor inventory, verifying that the proper inventory control procedures are in place and followed to include, cycle counts, location availability, inventory adjustment report, WMS to ERP balance, etc.Process maintenance requirement orders, backorders, credits and quotes; research technical parts data, in coordination with the technical subject matter experts (SMEs), to provide exceptional customer service as needed.Teach and coach others on the use of electronic and available technology (WMS, ERP databases, Scanners, etc.).Originate and submit all required month end reports such as, inventory valuation and blanket task orders for billing to accounting.Lead by example in all safe work practices and procedures and verify assigned personnel are knowledgeable and following such practices and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Accountable For:Emergent or Urgent response to situations that occur outside of the normal work hours.The safeguarding and continuous accounting of inventory. The accurate kitting of project materials in support of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) or COM projects.Perform all duties in support of company practices and policies regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and appropriate business conduct.Effectively communicating and resolving customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.

 


Job Requirements

Mandatory:High school diploma.Experience with Microsoft Office and material control management software.Working knowledge of material control and inventor requirements and processes.Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with material control processes and procedures.Two (2) years supervisory experience.Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS). Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

 

Work Conditions: 

 

Performed work, indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear to understand instructions, provide information and respond to safety warnings. 

Work conditions require the employee to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and smell. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance and lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance.
