**Job Summary**
Maximizes external supplier performance through understanding our supply network.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Serve as a primary contact for dealer parts support needs & suppliers, following up on requirements to minimize past due schedules and enabling dealers to support end customers without supply chain bottlenecks
+ Focusing on inventory management to prevent excess material within the network.
+ Reviewing and acting on schedule releases and follow up for on-time shipments.
+ Partner with global purchasing buyers and purchasing analyst on problem parts.
+ Activities include but are not limited to standard problem resolution, product information, orders status inquiries, consideration of supplier/process or direct shipments; higher or lower levels of support (groups or disassembly), acquiring material from production facilities, and dealer return material.
+ Monitoring and following (and at times placing) parts orders including addressing Direct Ship & OTO orders through interaction with process support teams (expediting, supplier, purchasing, logistics, warehouse, quality etc)
+ Develop & implement solutions based on root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence of defects
+ Responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time. Employees may also be required to work outside of normal working hours.
+ Building Rapport and communicating on a regular basis with the appropriate facility and process partner contact on order status and details while developing an understanding of expectations of the business segment being supported.
+ Hold periodic or as-needed meetings/calls with respective network customer services staff and expediting teams to address/clarify issues and questions and to stay current on ordering processes, part status and/or system updates.
+ This may require some flexibility in hours to accommodate dealer discussions.
**Additional Information:**
+ Bachelor’s degree / Diploma (3 years) with equivalent experience
+ Minimum 2-3 years of job-related experience in Supply chain domain

+ Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Knowledge of the process, issues and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice.
+ Materials Handling and Management: Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
+ Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
+ Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
+ Sales Force applications, OM tools, Basic PBI knowledge, MS-Office skills and good presentation skills
+ Personal computer skills are required and familiarity with various software packages are a plus
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and background
+ Ability to handle dealer concerns and complaints effectively and negotiate best solution among many parties involved
+ Great team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
