Job Description
The role of the Master Scheduler involves coordinating schedules, inventories, equipment, and personnel to ensure the efficient and effective operation of manufacturing processes across two production sites. This position involves a diverse product mix in a low-volume, 'job shop' environment rather than mass production.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the master production schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints.Integrate sales orders with the master schedule, coordinating the availability of supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.Work cross-functionally through all departments in the organization and manage any conflicts.Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and program teams to balance supply and demand to best serve client needs.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, material availability, or production issues.Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance throughput and reduce lead times.Ensure alignment of production schedules with inventory targets and delivery deadlines.Generate and present regular reports on schedule adherence, production performance, and capacity planning.Support continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and scheduling processes.Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization.Essential Skills5+ years of master scheduling experience within the aerospace or defense industry.Proficiency with an ERP system.Experience with job-shop type scheduling involving a diverse product mix in low volumes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Thorough understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industry and supply chain.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Deep understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) systems and supporting technologies.Additional Skills & QualificationsIFS (Industrial & Financial Systems) experience is a big plus.Professional certification by APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) is a plus.Familiarity with government contracting.Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday with flexible start times. Options include starting at 6:00am and ending at 3:30pm or starting at 7:30am and ending at 5:00pm. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, allowing every other Friday off.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
