Job Description
The Master Scheduler is responsible for defining and executing the planning and scheduling of actions that drive engineering, drafting, manufacturing, and procurement processes for highly-engineered, large industrial equipment. This role requires extensive knowledge of conventional business software such as Excel, MS Outlook, Primavera, MS Project, and other related project management and specialized MRP tools. The Master Scheduler will plan and monitor the progress of projects, prepare schedules with inputs from various sources, and comprehend the work and time involved in executing each activity. This position is essential for optimizing the flow of work through the organization by ensuring expedient project completion through efficient resource utilization. Strategic thinking and excellent communication skills are fundamental requirements as the Master Scheduler collaborates with managers, clients, and suppliers.
ResponsibilitiesPlan and maintain the master company schedule.Develop individual project schedules to feed into the master schedule.Administer and monitor drafting priorities.Administer and monitor engineering priorities.Administer and monitor purchasing activities.Administer and monitor shop activities.Identify potential bottlenecks across all departments.Prepare daily and weekly reports as required.Ensure on-time and early deliveries by implementing, tracking, and executing all phases of the master schedule.Essential SkillsMinimum of 10 years' experience in scheduling for a heavy machinery manufacturer.Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with outside customers and cross-functional teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.Work Environment
The work environment is primarily an office setting, but may also include time in a shop environment where employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The work area is generally clean, safe, and not loud, although machining operations may produce moderate noise and metal particles. The position requires fully onsite work from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The team consists of approximately 20 employees, including Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
