Are you an experienced grower with a passion for elevating production standards? Our client, a well-established wholesale producer of young plants specializing in Clematis, is seeking a Head Grower to lead their stock plant program and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their young plant production operation. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGLeading and optimizing stock (mother) plant production and cutting programs for Clematis
Overseeing and mentoring a team of junior growers to ensure high-quality outputs
Collaborating closely with production teams and supervisors to meet crop goals
Monitoring plant health, performance, and uniformity, adjusting strategies as needed
Developing and implementing best practices to improve efficiency, yield, and consistency
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLEProven experience with Clematis stock plant and cutting production
Several years of hands-on nursery or greenhouse growing experience (this is not an entry-level role)
Strong technical knowledge in propagation, pest/disease management, and environmental controls
A confident leadership style and ability to guide, coach, and hold team members accountable
A balance of innovative thinking and respect for long-standing horticultural practices
Passion for plants and a commitment to maintaining exceptional quality standards
