The ideal candidate will play an essential role in our team, ensuring every project we undertake observes the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. **Plant Upgrade Description:** Solids Upgrade Program: The SUP includes replacements to the thickening and dewatering equipment, gravity thickeners, and digestor heat exchangers and mixers. The Program will decommission a pasteurization system and install a new solids dryer facility. Future technologies, such as pyrolysis, may be piloted with operational support provided throughout the pilot's duration. Preliminary and Primary Systems Upgrade Project: The PPSU Project plans to improve and rehabilitate the preliminary and primary processes located in two buildings and the Primary Settling Tanks (PSTs). The improvements in Building A include coarse screen upgrades, a third coarse screen, raw sewage pump upgrades, and raw sewage conduit rehabilitation. Building B improvements include fine screen upgrades, new screenings and grit conveyance, new truck loading technology, new grit washers, scum concentrator upgrades, and a mix of new vortex grit separators and stacked tray grit separators. Lastly, the improvements around the PSTs include primary sludge pump upgrades, refurbishment of the Primary Observation House, relocation of the existing walkway, repair of the PST effluent channel and control structures, and replacement of the PST influent baffles, slide gates, scum skimmers, and handrails. Centrate Pretreatment Project: The CPT Project will upgrade the CPT system to a modernized continuous flow DEMON system. The work will include new flow-through baffles, parabolic screens, submersible pumps, wedge wire screens, instrumentation, and associated piping and cleaning. **Job Responsibilities:** Working under the direction of a Resident Engineer and supported by a Construction Engineer, our inspectors are the Owner’s day-to-day eyes and ears on the ground, responsible for verification and documentation of daily construction activities using Procore. + Documentation includes preparing daily reports with job photos, reporting and documenting work progress, safety and quality observations. + Reviewing maintenance of operations submittals and coordinating subsequent Plant Impact Requests with the Contractor and Plant operations. + Working with all parties to mitigate plant and project risks and facilitate integrated planning. **Required Skills/Experience:** + 10 + years of experience in MV and LV electrical systems, process instrumentation and process controls for wastewater and/or industrial projects of similar scope and size, and/or + Licensed master electrician skilled in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems + Ensure code compliance and team collaboration with design and contractor teams to solve issues, requiring expert knowledge and adherence to strict safety standards for facilities or construction projects. Experience in this capacity within active wastewater treatment facilities is highly preferred + Certifications include licensed master electrician or certified electrical inspector (International Code Council E2 or International Association of Electrical Inspector Master CEI-M; plus, specialized Virginia Building Code Academy Commercial/Industrial training), and OSHA 30 trained **Other Requirements:** + Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check + Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening The compensation range for this position is between $50/hour to $83/hour depending on experience. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
