Mass Spectrometry Operator

Description

Main responsibilities:

Start batches on LC-MS (instrumentation focused role)

Help with instrument training- new chemists

Help with system scheduling (50+ Mass Spec)

Additional responsibilities:

Will have chemists shadow running instrumentation

troubleshooting the instrumentation and conducting routine maintenance

independently run LC-MS instrumentation

Documenting work- maintaining lab records

Coordinate 60 chemists

Communicate with Study Directors with corrective actions

Identify technical issues

Skills

chemistry, HPLC, lc-ms, mass spectrometry, training, Metrology, Training development, Calibration, Laboratory

Additional Skills & Qualifications

B.S. Chemistry, Biochemistry or related life science degree

2+ years of chemistry lab experience

1-2 years LC-MS- running the instrument independently

Troubleshooting instrumentation experience- exposure to this

Ability to operate independently

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
