Job Title: Masker

Job Description

Join our team as a Masker in a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. Open to no experience that are open to be trained. Pay will be $16.90 for no experience and $18 an hour with experience. This position is for the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime daily and on weekends.

Maskers will play a crucial role in sealing parts to be painted or dipped, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

Seal parts to be painted or dipped, providing essential support to the masking department.Complete the daily production schedule while ensuring optimal quality for all work completed.Inspect 100% in-process masking on all parts and communicate directly with inspectors or supervisors on First Article and masking concerns.Work directly with maskers on technical improvements and efficiency.Develop new masking techniques and take pictures of new part numbers for customer verification.Maintain accountability for attendance and inform management of any quality issues.Mask one piece for each incoming job into the department and follow all safety policies and procedures.Conduct receiving inspection including count, visual inspection, and completion of previous operations.Maintain a clean and organized department on a daily basis.

Essential Skills

Experience in inspection, masking, sealing, and taping.Proficiency in using measuring tools for small and large parts.Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss technical improvements with team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with both small and large parts in a metal finishing environment.Ability to develop new masking techniques and communicate effectively with customers.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.90 - $18.00/hr.
