As a Vice President in the Markets Asset Servicing team, you will oversee income event processing across multiple regions, ensuring operational excellence, strong controls, and superior client service. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive strategic business objectives, and lead process improvement initiatives. This role offers broad exposure to global operations and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm’s business outcomes.
Job responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end workflow for income processing across Fixed Income, Equities, and Prime Brokerage, ensuring operational excellence and robust controls.Develop and execute strategic business plans for the APAC Income team, including system implementations and relocation initiatives.Maintain, enhance, and review operating controls and Standard Operating Procedures to support a dynamic global operating model and align with new policies and risk management practices.Manage daily controls and processing, including client inquiry resolution, cash and stock reconciliation, event management, and performance metrics.Serve as the primary escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, including operations, trading, finance, clients, and third-party vendors.Provide clear direction and leadership, ensuring staff are informed of strategic, regulatory, and organizational changes.Drive a client-focused, results-oriented approach by hosting review meetings and driving service improvements.Publish and review daily/weekly performance metrics, tracking deviations from expected standards.Adapt to changing environments by efficiently learning, documenting, and implementing new processes.Lead and participate in projects driven by industry mandates, process improvement, and client requirements, championing continuous improvement and partnering with stakeholders to enhance service performance and operating controls.Coach, mentor, and lead staff, ensuring compliance with SOPs and controls, promoting consistency of processes/functions in collaboration with the Global Asset Servicing team, and utilizing LEAN and other methodologies to optimize functions and reduce costs.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.8+ years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.3+ years of people management experience, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams.Demonstrated success in managing complex operational workflows and executing strategic change initiatives in a fast-paced environment.Strong track record of risk management and risk reduction in a control-focused environment.Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills, with excellent judgment, decision-making, and a solutions-oriented approach.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, management, and cross-functional teams.Deep client focus and commitment to delivering results, with a history of driving service improvements.Experience in process improvement, project management, and strategic planning, with the ability to learn, document, and implement new processes efficiently.Ability to partner with multiple internal teams, external clients, and third-party service providers, and to influence across business lines, cultures, and global functions.Flexible work style, strong multitasking and time management skills, high integrity, and attention to detail, operating with openness and honesty.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, FRM, Six Sigma, LEAN, Business Analytics, Project Management).Experience in asset servicing operations, particularly in APAC markets, and with system implementation and relocation strategies.Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Proficiency with data transformation (e.g., Alteryx), data visualization (e.g., Tableau), and data mining tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python), as well as experience with automation tools (e.g., Python, Alteryx, Tableau).Understanding of technological development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and design techniques.In-depth knowledge of global markets, legislative frameworks, industry trends, and a proven ability to optimize operations, improve processes, and reduce costs.FINRA Series 99 license is a plus, but not required; enthusiastic, highly motivated, and effective in high-pressure environments.
