How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express Nordics Consumer Acquisition is a 10-person team responsible for marketing and growth in Sweden, Norway, and Finland. We are seeking a Marketing analyst to drive American Express’ growth within external marketing.
What you’ll do:
Contribute to the development of communication and content strategies by providing input on objectives, messaging and performance, supporting the Nordic markets and strengthening our position within the travel and dining segments, with a strong sense for premium content and brand expression.Hold overall responsibility for ensuring that all planned paid media initiatives are delivered according to agreed scope, objectives and timelines, acting as project lead and primary point of contact towards agencies executing across multiple channels, with a primary focus on social, search and OOH.Budget management, including responsibility for forecasting and continuously improving investment efficiency in close collaboration with agencies and internal stakeholders.Continuously identify and explore new acquisition growth opportunities, innovative solutions and emerging trends.Maintain, develop and leverage established partnerships with agencies, external partners and internal stakeholders across multiple functions and markets.Analyse results and performance reporting to generate insights and support data-driven decision-making.Maintain a strong focus on quality, risk management and process efficiency across all initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience with marketing and acquisition initiatives, with a strong understanding of the paid media ecosystem and how different channels work together.Strong understanding of core marketing principles and market dynamics, including consumer behaviour, segmentation, positioning and the role of media across the customer journey.Experience in leading initiatives in a project role, coordinating different projects.Analytical mindset and ability to extract insights and support data-driven decisions.Ability to present to both smaller and larger groups.A strong sense of premium brands, travel and dining.Comfortable working in a structured, regulated environment with a focus on quality, risk management and process efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
B.Sc. degree in Business Administration or a similar field, preferably with a focus on Marketing.Minimum of 3+ years of experience in media planning and project management from the agency side, preferably in a client-facing or consultative role.Experience working with ad tech platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager or similar buying platform, Google Ads, Campaign Manager 360 and IAS.Experience using analytical tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.Experience working with reporting, visualization and dashboard tools such as Looker Studio or similar platforms to support performance follow-up and decision-making.Proficiency in Excel.Experience presenting insights, recommendations and performance updates to both smaller and larger stakeholder groups.Demonstrated success in managing external agencies and partners to deliver impactful campaigns.Experience working within international teams or matrix organizations is highly valued.Fluent in English and Swedish. Finnish or/and Norwegian is very meritorious.
