**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Pipefitters** for projects located in **San Diego, CA** . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is **up to $41/hour** based on experience and skill level. If you are a Marine Pipefitter eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Install and maintain ships piping systems such as; steam, heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure and oil lines + Reading blueprints, layouts and work orders + Working with hand tools and shop machines + Plan layout of pipe sections, cuts and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for installation of pipes + Operate shop machines to cut and thread pipe and pipe fittings including; valves, traps and thermostats + Bend pipe to specified shape + Bolt on pipe bending fixtures + Bolt or weld brackets to support pipe systems + Connect pipes to fixtures such as heat exchangers, laundry and galley equipment, pumps, tanks and other ship equipment + Repair packs and adjust valves + Test installed systems for leaks and ensure systems meet specifications + Perform other related tasks assigned **Requirements** + Must have OSHA 10, Maritime and Firewatch Certifications + Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check + Must be able to obtain DBIDS + High school diploma or equivalent education + Preferred 2+ years of on the job training in pipefitting or 3+ years of experience is required **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
