Job Description

We are seeking experienced **Marine Engineers - ARE** to join our dynamic engineering team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will take on significant portions of marine engineering projects, applying your technical expertise and analytical mindset to design, develop, and optimize marine systems and vessel components. You will work collaboratively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet rigorous maritime standards and project objectives. Perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations for marine systems, propulsion systems, and structural components using established procedures and industry best practicesGather, correlate, and analyze marine engineering data from various sources to support design and implementation decisionsDevelop and review technical drawings and specifications using CAD software and marine design toolsConduct routine and detailed engineering assessments involving marine systems testing and performance evaluationPropose innovative approaches to solve complex marine engineering problems by modifying standard procedures based on previous project experienceIdentify discrepancies in engineering results and recommend corrective actions with transparency and precisionProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and entry-level team membersManage assigned engineering tasks within agreed-upon budgets and schedules with minimal supervisionIndependently complete primary design elements and technical documentation for marine engineering worksEnsure all work complies with maritime regulations, international standards (IMO, ABS, DNV), and organizational quality requirementsCollaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively

Qualifications

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline4+ years of professional experience in marine engineering, vessel design, or related maritime projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work through complex technical challengesProficiency in CAD software and marine design toolsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within team environmentsValid professional identification and eligibility to work in the United Arab Emirates

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent professional certification in marine engineeringAdvanced knowledge of marine propulsion systems, hydrodynamics, and vessel performanceExperience with maritime regulatory compliance and international marine standards (IMO, ABS, DNV, ClassNK)Proficiency in GIS and specialized marine engineering softwareProject management experience on marine or offshore engineering projectsExperience with beneficial use of marine resources and sustainable marine engineering practicesDemonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior engineersWillingness to travel for project site visits and client meetings (typically one to three days)Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
