**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Deck Electricians** for projects located in and around **Newport News, VA.** This is a firsts hift opportunity with a pay range of **up to $37.31/hour** based on experience plus **$140/Per Diem** to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Deck Electrician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Use electrical meters and test instruments (voltohm meters, clamp-on ammeters, insulation resistance testers, meggers, etc.) + Lay off and mount electrical equipment and wireways + Install cable penetrations in equipment, bulkheads, and decks + Install cables, make terminations, perform cutting and hookup **Requirements:** + Minimum of **3+** years in the electrical field (Industrial, Marine, or Commercial Nuclear applications) + Active DOD clearance required + Ability to read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, schematics, and work packages + Able to work independently with proper instruction + Physically able to: climb vertical/inclined ladders, crawl, bend, stoop, work at heights, and work in confined spaces + Must pass Stud Shooting training class and associated vision test (administered by NNS) **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
