About the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Test Engineer to support the testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic products used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This is a highly technical, shop-floor-focused role working directly with production teams to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and improve manufacturing test systems, fixtures, and procedures.Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of PCB assemblies, hybrid components, and electronic modules.Execute validation, verification, and functional testing of production units and prototypes.Analyze test results and perform root cause investigations for failures.Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Design teams to resolve test‑related issues.Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other bench equipment for diagnostics.Manage test documentation including test procedures, work instructions, and reports.Support test automation efforts and develop automated sequences (LabVIEW preferred).Ensure compliance with MIL‑STD, IPC, and aerospace/defense testing guidelines.Assist in the design of basic test fixtures, harnesses, and adapters.Provide technical support to production teams on the shop floor.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field.4+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing test engineering (electronics).Proficiency with test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.Strong experience reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.Solid background in electrical testing, validation, and troubleshooting at the component and system level.Experience with LabVIEW, test automation, or automated test equipment (ATE).Understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action, and failure analysis techniques.Familiarity with PCB test methods (ICT, functional test, bench test).Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with hybrid electronics or aerospace/defense electronics.Knowledge of standards such as MIL‑STD‑883, MIL‑PRF‑38534, MIL‑PRF‑38510, IPC‑610.Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and test documentation.Exposure to DFT (Design for Test) principles.Why Join Us?Part of the TransDigm Group, offering strong internal training and long-term career pathways.Exposure to a wide variety of military, aerospace, and commercial electronics.Visibility to senior leadership with opportunities to take on more responsibility.Stable, growing organization with high demand and continuous expansion.Great role for engineers seeking both hands-on work and opportunities to contribute to test design and improvement.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bohemia, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
