Manufacturing Technician – Job Description Join a growing biopharmaceutical manufacturing team where you’ll work alongside skilled engineers, quality specialists, and cross‑functional partners to support critical operations that bring life‑changing therapies to patients. This role offers hands‑on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and a structured 6‑week onboarding program designed specifically for new technicians. What You’ll Do As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support a wide range of Upstream, Downstream, and Core Support activities, including: Production & Process Execution + Follow detailed written and verbal procedures in a controlled cGMP environment. + Document all work accurately in batch records, logbooks, and electronic systems. + Participate in continuous improvement by helping refine processes and procedures. + Prepare buffers and media to support manufacturing activities. + Perform pH and conductivity measurements for process control. + Conduct sampling and in‑process analytical testing to ensure product quality. Equipment Operation & Preparation + Prepare equipment for use, including cleaning and sterilization (CIP/SIP). + Operate manufacturing equipment such as autoclaves and glass washers. + Support column operations, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), and load line setup. + Engage in cell culture activities from vial thaw through production stages. Safety, Compliance & Training + Wear required personal protective equipment, including gowning, safety glasses, gloves, and safety footwear. + Maintain full compliance with cGMP, safety guidelines, and internal SOPs. + Stay current on required trainings to support operational readiness. Additional Responsibilities + Contribute to inventory management and assist with shipping of finished materials. + Work occasional overtime to support production timelines. What We’re Looking ForQualifications + Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred, plus 0-1+ year of manufacturing experience. + Familiarity with cGMP operations is highly beneficial. + Strong judgment, problem‑solving capabilities, and the ability to make informed decisions. + Adaptability and comfort working with new assignments, tools, and procedures. Physical & Safety Requirements + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to read instructions, numbers, and electronic data at close and far range. + Comfortable working on a computer/tablet for 50–60% of the workday. + Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with consistent noise levels (approx. 75 dB). + Spend up to 50% of work time in a stationary position. + Frequently move and reposition yourself to monitor equipment and gauge readings. + Ability to assist with moving equipment up to 50 lbs using appropriate safety support. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Worcester, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.00/hr.
