This is an exciting opportunity to join the Microbiology Division where you will be involved in manufacturing processes that make a difference. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will help with the production of agars, ensuring quality and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, perform simple maintenance, and report malfunctioning equipment immediately.Set up and adjust machinery to accommodate different sizes.Obtain necessary materials from the warehouse or staging area for operation needs.Organize production flow, ensure materials are available, estimate line progress, and schedule breaks in alignment with production time schedules.Document work accurately, check for quality and compliance, monitor product defects, and assist with inventory processes.Dispense required additives to media, perform pH balance techniques, and investigate and remedy possible production failures.Follow all written procedures, report discrepancies, and perform work activities safely while wearing personal protective equipment.Report property damage and safety hazards immediately to the appropriate personnel.Complete production assignments timely and according to departmental schedules.Sign off on DHRs in proper places and fill in pertinent information according to SOPs.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing, GMP, and production support.Ability to comprehend and communicate in English, both written and verbally.Competency in basic math.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 600 lb wheeled kettles.Ability to stand for sustained periods, approximately 10 hours a day.Ability to see and distinguish colors.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.Willingness to train individuals with very little relevant experience or a science AS or BS degree.Work Environment

The role is based in a laboratory/cleanroom setting and operates on a 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.09 - $21.09/hr.
