Manufacturing Technician
Job Title: Manufacturing TechnicianJob Description

The Manufacturing Technician evaluates, isolates, and documents the sources of mechanical and electrical failures. They set up bench test equipment required to perform diagnostics on devices and perform qualification and validation activities to support manufacturing and engineering. The technician is responsible for maintaining applicable manufacturing, quality, and materials records, supporting tooling and standards databases, and entering all Bill of Materials (BOM) into the ERP system. The role involves maintaining BOMs with upgrades and changes, coordinating customer SCR/ECR/ECOs and ECNs, coordinating engineering prototype builds, and supporting process capabilities, evaluations, and improvements.

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, isolate, and document sources of mechanical and electrical failures.Set up bench test equipment for device diagnostics.Perform qualification and validation activities for manufacturing and engineering support.Maintain manufacturing, quality, and materials records.Support tooling and standards databases, and streamline auditable product/part document systems.Enter all Bill of Materials (BOM) into the ERP system and maintain them with upgrades and changes.Coordinate and assist with customer SCR/ECR/ECOs and ECNs.Coordinate engineering prototype builds.Support process capabilities, evaluations, and improvements, including documents, tooling, methods, and workmanship.Interpret customer prints, bills of materials, and special requirements.Collaborate with other departments to resolve product issues.Essential Skills1+ year of experience in electronics or relevant experience from school.Proficiency in test setup and troubleshooting.Experience with electrical systems, oscilloscopes, circuits, test fixtures, and circuit boards.Familiarity with ERP systems and optical inspection.Ability to validate processes and products.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to assist with test fixtures.Experience in troubleshooting failed circuit boards.Proficiency in test setups.Work Environment

The work environment involves interfacing with customers to assess and document packages, including streamlining and automation. The role supports methods improvement activities and may involve collaboration with manufacturing and engineering to introduce new products, prepare documentation, develop training, and prepare estimation and analysis reports as needed. There is room to expand in the test department, providing opportunities for growth and development.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
