**Job Title: Manufacturing Technician**
**Shift: Mon to Thur 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, paid 30 minute lunches**
****Must be able to train on days for approximately 6-8 weeks (Day shift is approx. 8am – 4:30 pm Mon – Fri) then transfer to long-term placement on graveyard shift.****
**Job Description**
The Graveyard Manufacturing Technician will be an integral part of a dedicated team, ensuring seamless operation, control, and monitoring of heat treating furnaces and related equipment. This role involves preparing customer-supplied parts for processing, adhering to written procedures, and promoting safety and good housekeeping.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate, control, and monitor heat treating furnaces and related equipment.
+ Prepare customer-supplied parts for processing.
+ Follow written procedures on shop orders and/or customer paperwork.
+ Load and unload furnaces, bins, baskets, fixtures, etc.
+ Mask, paint, and sandblast customer-owned machined parts.
+ Report any irregularities or non-conformances to the supervisor.
+ Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
+ Promote safety and good housekeeping.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of Manufacturing Machine Operator experience.
+ 1+ years of experience operating a forklift.
+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to handle general labor tasks.
+ Material handling and production experience.
+ Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop, and stand.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Forklift operator certification (training available in-house).
+ Aptitude to learn basic knowledge of heat treating processes, testing, metallurgy, and temperatures.
+ Strong mechanical inclination.
+ Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.

**Work Environment**
Candidates will train on the day shift before transitioning to the graveyard shift, which operates from 8 pm to 6 am, Monday to Thursday. The work environment involves exposure to heat, dust, noise, humidity, and fumes. Employees on the graveyard shift receive regular pay for eight hours and additional pay for two hours, along with two paid 30-minute meal breaks. The role offers a 4/10 schedule, providing three-day weekends.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
