Job Description

Join our team as a Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering Delivery Program Engineer, located in the Louisville/Shelbyville area of Kentucky. This role is part of our dynamic team in Southeast Michigan, where you will have the opportunity to work within the Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering Organization. We are looking for motivated professionals who are passionate about excellence in manufacturing, problem-solving, and enhancing engineering factory robustness. As a Delivery Program Engineer, you will be leading launch teams through all phases of Manufacturing Program Delivery, from the early cost study phase to the rate of climb (ROC).

Responsibilities

Create and manage project timing summaries for key milestones using MS Excel and MS Project.Lead OEM (Equipment Supplier) timing oversight and coordinate timing meetings.Update and manage program financials, including cost tracking and program checkbook.Lead and support updates and publication of program review decks.Interface with system and component product, manufacturing, and support teams.Monitor program deliverable assessments and track issues to closure.Lead the Machine Tryout (MTO) and Make Like Production (MLP) part ordering process.Manage skilled trade allocation requirements for installation and commissioning.Lead issue management system tracking and closure.Lead and support engineering change control activities and global coordination.Coordinate pre-production build activities and program launch planning.Lead program scorecard activities and review discipline from Launch Readiness to OK to Buy.Lead production trial run activities, including serial number tracking and issue documentation.Utilize machine monitoring reporting tools to support program teams through launch completion.

Essential Skills

Project management, engineering, and manufacturing process expertise.Manufacturing floor experience is required.Project or program management, coordination, and communication experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.Strong presentation skills with experience in creating and delivering presentations.Experience in supporting program launches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred).2-3 years of experience in a high-volume production or manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment, requiring early start times. It is a full-time, on-site role located in the Louisville/Shelbyville, Kentucky area, with occasional travel to Dearborn, MI.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
