This role involves working closely with design teams to ensure manufacturability and testability of designs, developing and qualifying manufacturing processes, and leading large implementation projects. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment to enhance product reliability and operational efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesReview schematics, layouts, and design files with design teams to apply Design for Excellence (DFx) principles.Develop, validate, and document manufacturing processes for SMT board assembly, selective soldering, wave soldering, AOI/X-ray inspection, conformal coating, and assembly.Conduct qualification activities for prototype and pilot builds to ensure deliverables meet specifications.Create and maintain documentation including work instructions, panel designs, in-line test procedures, BOMs, and ECOs.Collaborate with Hardware, Test, Quality, and Materials teams to ensure smooth product introduction.Lead projects and manage large implementation projects related to Electrical Equipment Testing & Validation.Identify opportunities for improving yield, reducing costs, and enhancing product reliability.Propose and lead projects to achieve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity improvement goals.Essential SkillsProficiency in Altium, PCB design, and electronics testing equipment.Experience with PCBA testing and SMT machines.Knowledge of IPC 610 standards and six sigma methodologies.Ability to perform electrical schematic work and design for manufacturing and test.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with PCA/PCBA manufacturing processes.Exposure to IPC standards, six sigma practices.Strong communication skills and ability to fit into company culture.Technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.Lean six sigma operation or manufacturing experience with electronics.Work EnvironmentThe role is situated in an engineering-focused environment, emphasizing high-tech processes and collaboration. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
