Job Description
The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for creating comprehensive manufacturing plans that provide production operators with all necessary instructions and specifications to effectively fabricate quality parts. This role serves as the primary liaison between technical teams and customers, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of technical issues.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive manufacturing plans for quality fabrication.Act as a liaison between production lines and customer service cells.Interpret customer specifications, blueprints, masking aides, and visual aids.Research and incorporate engineering or purchase order changes into plans.Determine customer requirements and develop planning for new and existing jobs.Collaborate with production to resolve manufacturing issues related to tools, methods, engineering, and inspection.Identify substitutes for raw materials for new and rework orders when necessary.Initiate and assist with modifications to manufacturing operations.Prioritize work to meet customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery.Oversee document control to maintain current electronic files and revision levels.Work proficiently in the JobBoss ERP system.Possess a background in military specifications and drawings.Essential SkillsUnderstanding of aerospace specifications.Experience in blueprint reading.1-3 years of experience in production and manufacturing planning.ITAR compliance knowledge.Proficiency in schedule planning, logistics, and material planning.Additional Skills & QualificationsCross-train and support other team positions as needed.Knowledge of job tools including QAPs/SSPs and work instructions.Willingness to work overtime and weekends if required.Excellent organizational skills and discipline.Fluency in English, both written and oral.Comprehensive knowledge of customer drawings, specs, and engineering tools.Understanding of manufacturing flows, sequences, and capabilities.Ability to read measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and protractors.Work Environment
The role requires regular standing, handling of objects, and clear communication. The employee may frequently walk or stand and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are necessary for technical drawing interpretation. Work hours are 4:30am - 1pm, Monday to Friday. The position involves communicating technical manufacturing processes to machinists and assemblers, with familiarity in machine setup and hand tool inspection methodology considered a plus.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
