Job Title: Manufacturing Planner
Job Description
The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for creating comprehensive manufacturing plans to provide production operators with all necessary instructions and specifications for fabricating quality parts. This role serves as the primary liaison for technical issues and involves reading and interpreting customer specifications, blueprints, masking aides, and visual aids. The planner researches and incorporates engineering and purchase order changes into manufacturing plans and ensures timely development and modification of plans to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
Create detailed manufacturing plans for quality part fabrication.Serve as a liaison between technical teams and customers.Interpret customer specifications, blueprints, and visual aids.Research and integrate engineering changes into manufacturing plans.Determine customer requirements and develop planning for new jobs.Resolve manufacturing issues with production teams.Act as a liaison between product lines and customer service cells.Identify substitutes for raw materials as necessary.Initiate and assist with changes to manufacturing plans.Prioritize work to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.Oversee document control to ensure current electronic files and revision levels.Utilize JobBoss ERP system effectively.Essential Skills
1-3 years of experience in production and manufacturing planning.Understanding of aerospace specifications.Proficiency in blueprint reading.Compliance with ITAR regulations.Experience with schedule planning, logistics, and material planning.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in military specifications and drawings is highly preferred.Cross-training and support for other team positions as required.Proficiency in English, both written and oral.Knowledge of customer drawings, specs, and engineering tools.Familiarity with manufacturing flows and product line capabilities.Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.Familiarity with machine setup and hand tool selection.Work Environment
The role requires regular standing, handling, and manipulation of objects. Employees must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The position requires reading technical drawings and writing technical manufacturing planning. Work hours are from 4:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The position reports directly to the Manager of Planning and Quality. The work environment involves collaboration with Quality Assurance to establish first articles and manage changes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
