Manufacturing Planner
Job Title: Manufacturing Planner

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Planner, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive manufacturing plans, providing production operators with all necessary instructions and specifications to fabricate quality parts effectively. You will serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and customers, ensuring clear communication and interpretation of technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications. Your role will involve researching engineering changes, determining customer requirements, and developing and modifying planning for new and existing jobs. Additionally, you will work closely with production teams to resolve any manufacturing issues and prioritize work to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

Create manufacturing plans with detailed instructions and specifications for production operators.Act as a liaison between technical teams and customers regarding technical issues.Read and interpret customer specifications, blueprints, and visual aids for planning.Incorporate engineering and purchase order changes into manufacturing plans.Determine customer requirements and develop planning for new jobs.Collaborate with production to resolve manufacturing issues.Assist in identifying substitutes for raw materials and initiate changes in manufacturing plans.Oversee document control to ensure electronic files and revisions are current.Utilize the JobBoss ERP system for planning and scheduling tasks.

Essential Skills

Understanding of Aerospace Specifications.Experience in blueprint reading.1-3 years of experience in production and manufacturing planning.Compliance with ITAR requirements.Proficiency in schedule planning, logistics, and material planning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in Military specifications and drawings is highly preferred.Cross-training and support for other team positions.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain systems.Fluency in English, both written and oral.Comprehensive knowledge of customer drawings, specs, and engineering tools.Ability to read measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, and protractors.

Work Environment

The work environment requires regular standing, handling objects, and communication. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, and color vision are necessary. The position requires reading technical drawings and communicating manufacturing processes to machinists and assemblers. Familiarity with machine setup and hand tool selection is beneficial. Work hours are from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The role involves collaboration with Quality Assurance to establish first article and change management needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00/hr.
