We are looking for you to join our Vendor Repairs and Sustainment Team as a Manufacturing Operations Manager 2 based out of our Troy Hill facility in Elkridge, MD.

What You’ll get to do:

Manage the controlled flow of material and hardware from order release into a manufacturing area through order delivery to the customer for new production assembly, sustainment spares assembly, and returned material for repair (RMR) assembly

Directs and coordinates the activities to plan, manage, and control production schedules, in conjunction with Material Requirements Planning, to meet production/delivery requirements

Oversee the status of work in process, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are available, as needed

Manages the priority and scheduling of equipment and personnel, the confirmation of material supply and demand, and the preparation of work order or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements

Maintains ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive process control, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency

Participates in efforts and activities involving first-time manufacturing builds, including the establishment of workspace, process flow, and personnel responsibilities

Provides specific direction and training, as required

Utilizes both internal and external resources, and coordinates interdepartmental activity with operations, quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, inventory control, transportation, etc.

Manage incoming receipt of returned fielded hardware as well as introduction or returned fielded hardware to WIP (Work in Progress)

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience working in a Manufacturing and/or Production Environment; Master's degree with 6 years of experience working in a Manufacturing and/or Production Environment; (12 years of experience working in a Manufacturing and/or Production Environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement)

Experience managing and/or leading people/teams

Experience presenting to executive staff / leadership meetings

Experience working in a manufacturing environment with production and repairs concepts

The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance is required

U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

Active U.S. Secret Security Level Clearance

Experience in a Production Control environment

Experience using GOLD Esp

Experience using SAP Material module

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
