Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in food production, is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic **Location:** Clackamas, OR **Pay Range:** $31.97 **Shift:** 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm, five days a week) or 3rd shift (10pm to 6:30am, five days a week). Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required during the probationary period. **What's the Job?** + Observe and adhere to all safety policies, GMP, and Global Food Safety practices. + Lockout/Tagout procedures. + Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues on plant equipment. + Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs. + Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery to ensure optimal operation. + Rebuild/ fabrication of equipment + Welding mild and stainless steel + Complete work orders + Maintain logs and records + Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures + Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation + Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests + Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role + Perform preventative maintenance and respond promptly to maintenance requests to maximize equipment efficiency. **What's Needed?** + Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment. + Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills. + Knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, twist, and maintain good coordination and balance. + LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. + Engage in meaningful work supporting food production operations. + Potential for extension and permanent placement based on performance. + Gain valuable experience working with industry-leading equipment and safety standards. + Be part of a company that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement. **Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:** + Medical and Prescription Drug Plans + Dental Plan + Supplemental Life Insurance + Short Term Disability Insurance + 401(k) If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
