Manufacturing Lead
**Manufacturing Lead - 2nd Shift - $28.60/hr** **Job Description** As a Manufacturing Lead, you will supervise lines on the second shift manufacturing team, helping the team achieve weekly production goals and manufacturing yields. You will operate manufacturing equipment while monitoring manufacturing goals and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also oversee the team's adherence to good documentation practices, even when goals spike unexpectedly. Your role will include supporting staffing needs, assisting with staff rotation, break scheduling, and shift transfer, as well as leading department training activities and maintaining compliant training records. You will play a key role in evaluating and piloting new manufacturing technology to ensure smooth transitions. Accurate record-keeping and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) will be essential, alongside tracking and implementing corrective action protocols. **Responsibilities** + Supervise lines on the second shift manufacturing team. + Help achieve weekly production goals and manufacturing yields. + Operate manufacturing equipment and monitor manufacturing goals. + Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Monitor team's documentation practices. + Support staffing needs and assist with staff rotation, break scheduling, and shift transfer. + Lead department training activities and maintain compliant training records. + Evaluate and pilot new manufacturing technology. + Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with GDP. + Track and implement corrective action protocols. **Essential Skills** + Three (3) to five (5) years of previous related manufacturing experience within a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical environment. + Previous lead experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally leading 20 people. + Understanding of good documentation practices, good manufacturing practices, and good laboratory practices. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in production, supervision, GDP, management skills. + Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, GMP, process improvement, cleanroom, medical device assembly, production management, packaging, machine operation, and standard operating procedures. **Why Work Here?** You will convert to a full-time employee in four months, with a subsequent raise. Training will be staggered, with two weeks on the first shift before moving to the second shift. The manufacturing manager will be very hands-on with the training. You will be working in a clean room where leggings, face makeup, and lipstick are not allowed. If you wear glasses, side shields are required. Hair nets and beard covers are mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.60 - $28.60/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
