Tiffany is seeking a Manufacturing/Engineering Technician in Cumberland, RI, to assist process engineering functions by testing, planning, and executing improvements to existing processes, products, equipment, and data systems. The ideal candidate will support process engineering efforts centered on technology and cost reduction opportunities. Provide craft-focused perspective and support regarding continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues.Adhere to all safety requirements.
Perform root cause analysis by collecting and analyzing data. Measure and test as required. Update drawings and documentation as required. Write necessary reports and make recommendations for corrective actions. Implement corrective actions as approved by Engineers.
Support the implementation of process improvement projects that drive efficiency through technology and cost reduction across manufacturing. These improvements will be numerically defined as part of the annual manufacturing goals. Assist with the departmental support of technologically driven solutions in order to sustain the fundamental process and systems improvements. Provide craft-focused subject matter perspective and support regarding project testing and implementation.
Work closely with Process Engineers for the development andupdates of flow charts, standard operating procedures, and work Instructions with a particular focus on the safe operation of all manufacturing equipment and operations. Work with Tulip application.
Qualifications
Technical associates degree or equivalent
3-5 years knowledge of modern jewelry manufacturing techniques.
Demonstrated Experience in Process Improvement.
Ability to create mechanical drawings in CAD
Ability to analyze complex problems using data.
Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret and accurately measure with calipers, micrometers and vision systems
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Package Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks) preferred
Preferred
Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
Working knowledge of JD Edwards Systems
Data analysis and software experience.
