Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated team member to assist with engineering and production planning. This role involves working in-person to ensure parts are built correctly and efficiently. You will be responsible for writing and updating manufacturing instructions, checking and organizing technical documents, creating inspection plans and tools, preparing paperwork to meet AS standards, and assisting in designing tools and machine programs using software such as Mastercam.

Responsibilities

Initiate and participate in FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) processes to ensure accurate and reliable job planning.Prepare FAIR documentation in compliance with AS9102 requirements.Create and maintain bubble drawings using DISCUSS software.Perform final FAIR package reviews against applicable checklists.Support Manufacturing Engineering in developing and executing NRE storyboards.Document manufacturing concepts and planning intent from concept through production realization.Provide CAD drawings and technical planning support as required.Verify the completeness and accuracy of manufacturing engineering deliverables.Execute planning and documentation updates for job book phase-out activities.Implement approved part revision changes across planning and job documentation.Implement red-line changes in the Master Job Book and associated planning documentation.Review and compile estimate packages to support the estimating process.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer.Proficient in reading both 2D/3D drawings.Experience with MRP/ERP systems; familiarity with E2 is a plus.Skilled in manufacturing engineering, CAD software, blueprint reading, and production schedule planning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Degree preferred but not required.Familiarity with AS standards.Ability to review and read technical drawings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
